Zwischenraum – Copula Kick off

The i-platform was launched a good ten years ago based on the conviction that the diaspora represents an indispensable potential for the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim was to strengthen cooperation between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the areas of business, education, science, culture and social affairs. Now it is time to take the i-platform into its second generation. The challenges have not diminished, but they are different. From this "interstitial space", we want to strengthen each other and make the diversity of the Bosnian and ex-Yugoslav diaspora visible. We want to continue building bridges between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, learning from each other, supporting each other and jointly shaping a Bosnian-Swiss culture. That is why we use the word "copula", which has its origins in Latin and means "act of connecting". And that is exactly what the diaspora is – an act of connecting different cultures, countries, experiences and perspectives.
