Open printing workshop

Letterpress and gravure printing

The print studio at the Rote Fabrik is open to everyone every week. Astrid Schmid, lecturer in printmaking at the F+F School of Art and Design, is available every Wednesday evening in the print studio to answer questions and provide assistance.

The print studio serves to preserve and teach traditional printing and craftsmanship. The studio has various machines and workstations where original prints can be produced using intaglio, letterpress and screen printing techniques. The studio was created in 1997 as part of the Rote Fabrik artists' association and is now run and maintained by three people on a voluntary basis.

A fee of €50 per person is payable for use of the open workshop. The amount is made up of a basic amount (10.-/person), a contribution for the carers (30.-/person) and a flat-rate contribution for material costs (10.-/person)
