ZirQus Festival 2026

Six selected companies, comprising over 20 artists, will bring their unique creations to the stage. This year, there is a particular focus on promoting diversity and showcasing current, socially relevant themes to a wide audience.

The Cie Cirqu’en Choc rebels in its piece Mais les homards du Titanic, eux, sont encore vivants! against indifference, whilst the artists from House of Hermess celebrate gender fluidity in La Gender Reveal Party gender fluidity. The women’s* troupe from the Théâtre de l’extrême presents parade d’intimidation aigre-douce and captivate the audience with a bittersweet parade.
Collectif TBTF & Lone Company take the audience on an Euphoria on an acrobatic quest for hope and in Triangle of Happiness by Heavy Weight Pieces, happiness becomes a performance. As part of the platform for promoting emerging talent Artist in Focus , Zora Eichenberger presents her work-in-progress Die Wollspur and Zirkus Chnopf will be performing this year’s production UFE at Koch Park as part of the festival programme.

There’s plenty to discover off stage too: get a taste of various circus disciplines, try out dance or partner acrobatics, and train alongside others in the open training sessions. Experienced trainers will guide and support you as you discover new things.
