The fantastic Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO), made up of 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensembles, has been the resident orchestra of Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC since 1988 and spends more than a third of the year touring the world. Its long-time leader and musical director is none other than trumpet virtuoso and 9-time Grammy Award winner Wynton Marsalis, arguably the most influential jazz musician of our time and the only musician ever to win the award in two different categories - jazz and classical - in one year (1983-1984). Five years after their sold-out and rousing concert in the Tonhalle Maag, this great big band returns to the Tonhalle am See and will once again prove that jazz is an expression of joie de vivre and mutual respect.
