Unter ihnen wohnt Elloulou, eine alte Frau, die ihr Haus nicht mehr verlässt. Elloulou ist eine Pionierin der schwarzen Musik, einzigartig auf der Insel und in Tunesien. Ihre Töchter und Enkelkinder erzählen ihre Geschichte und versuchen, das Erbe ihrer Mutter und Grossmutter in die Zukunft zu tragen, sowie mit der Musik ihren Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen. in Tunesien. Sie absolvierte ihren Abschluss in Kunst und französische Literatur an der Universität Tunis und Mons in Belgien. Bevor sie ihren ersten Dokumentarfilm, Boxing with her, 2011 realisierte, schrieb sie Kinderbücher und studierte Kommunikation, Film und Multimedia. Mit diesem Film gewann sie den Golden Hawk Preis des Arabischen Filmfestivals in Rotterdam und den UNFPA Preis (United Nations Population Award) des Women Film Festivals. Der hier gezeigte Film Made in Gougou wurde 2014 mit dem ersten Preis für Dokumentarfilm am African Film Festival in Luxor ausgezeichnet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ engl. Version: MADE IN GOUGOU On the island of Djerba in the south of Tunisia lives a community of black people. Among them lives Elloulou, an old woman who does not leave her house. Elloulou is a pioneer of black music, unique on the island and in Tunisia. Her daughters and grandchildren tell their story and try to take the legacy of their mother and grandmother into the future, as well as earn a living with music. The film gives a rare insight into the lives of descendants of former slaves from sub-Saharan Africa. AFTERTALK WITH THE FILMMAKER LATIFA ROBANA DOGHRI 
is born 1955 in Tunisia. A graduate of Arts and French Literature from the University of Tunis and the University of Mons in Belgium, she specialized in writing children’s stories before studying communication, image and multimedia. Her first feature documentary in 2011, Boxing With Her, was selected at the International DohaTribeca Festival, won the Golden Hawk at the Arab Film Festival of Rotterdam and the UNFPA prize at the Woman Film Festival in Sun Valley, USA. In 2013, her second feature documentary Made in Gougou, was awarded best documentary prize at the African Film Festival in Luxor, Egypt, in 2013. Sisters courage, 2017, is her latest film, which was selected at Visions du Réel Film Festival (DOCM) in Nyon, Switzerland.
