Filmvorführung
Trying to draw a picture of a “National Indonesian cinema”, we’re showcasing a selection of films which give a glimpse into a rich multicultural identity. Through paying a cinematic visit to historical films and biopics, celebrations of traditional arts, the social issues faced by vulnerable minorities and struggling farmers, and life in cosmopolitan cities like Jakarta. We've tailored a program that aims to give an understanding of the modern Indonesian cinema without having to distinguish between genre and author films, but rather being keen to learn from the diversity that’s inherent to the Indonesian archipelago.
