Stars in the cellar? A cellar full of stars? A cellar in the stars? The Sternenkeller is a small theatre at the south-eastern tip of the canton of Zurich. Every week, things happen on the tiny stage that turn everyday life into a unique experience. Music from all over the world, theatre from the handbag, cabaret and comedy, theatre for children. In this laughing and wine cellar, the audience sits very close to the action and can be touched and carried away by the performing artists. A place of encounters with other worlds, just around the corner or, for city dwellers, combined with a trip to the Zurich Oberland - and perhaps even with a dinner in the cosy Sternenbeiz in the same building.
