Baile Funk

Get ready to shake cuz it's true: the sounds of the Favelas of Rio de Janeiro, so called “Baile Funk”, now have a home in Zurich! The most involving music genre from Brazil just got a night fully dedicated to it.

The agency Adalu from Zurich has teamed up with Bossa FM from Berlin and a series of Baile Funk will take place throughout the year in the venue Moods.

We will tell the story of the Funk Carioca from its early stages to the current days: Montagem, Funk 150, Technofunk, Proibidão, Brega Funk, Bate Cabelo, Funk Melody, Funk Pop and modern productions.

A night full of visuals and performances with artists from Berlin and Zurich sharing the spotlight.

DJs: Da Matta (Berlin), Cris Trópica (Zurich)
Performance concept by KYSY FISCHER (Berlin)
