In *Schotter*, Christian Wolfarth’s sound art meets the archaic topography of a gravel pit. Through the choice of viewing angles, the framing, the rhythm of the editing and the colour scheme, the film develops its own visual language. Both art forms come together whilst retaining their individuality. In this way, resonance and space, friction and silence, movement and stillness coalesce into a unique artistic work.
