Theatre tips for June

The Blickfelder Festival presents international theatre and dance productions for a young audience over eleven days in various cultural venues in the city of Zurich. There are also concerts, delicious dishes with fresh and regional ingredients and much more.

In the Sogar theatre, Nawar Bulbul tells the story of asylum seeker Omar Abu Michel, who travels all over France with his fiancée Egalité, a bicycle. With a great deal of humour, ingenuity and a keen sense of human vulnerability, he lets him recount his experiences in a fictional dialogue with Michel Suerat.

In June, the Gessnerallee presents various performances by local artists and international guests. The last programme cycle starts with "Tune in" and with "Drop out" the Gessnerallee leaves the building and turns the whole city into a stage.

A performative intervention by lo.me that takes place in public space. They deal with the embodiment of characters that include themselves, the audience and random passers-by.

Once again this year, Zurich Opera House is inviting everyone to the opera and showing a live broadcast of "Carmen" on Sechseläutenplatz. A free major event perfect for an atmospheric evening in a summery atmosphere.
